Greorkgaard
The farm was built round a quadrangle with thatched roof, situated right outside Gedser town, to the area belonging to the town belonged town soil.
- In 1937 Hedvig – at that time Iversen –
bought the old tumbledown farm in Gedser.
from Tuse Næs and Hans from Stouby.
It was, as it was custom at that time, not well-preserved, the earth was dried out and the water reached the footboard of the car, when the two young people were going to live there. The price was 40.000 DKK. At that time in 1937 you got 44 tønder land, 4 horses, 15 cows, 10 young cattle and 20 pigs.
- Hedvig and Hans Boesen put in the 44 years in which they had the farm a great deal of work in keeping up the old farm. It was a big sorrow when the farm was ravaged by fire in 1976. The pigs perished in the flames and all annexes were laid in ashes. The farmhouse was partly saved, and no stables were built, apart from an engine house.
In 1981 Hans Boesen died, and Hedvig sold the farm to their youngest daughter and their son in law, Irene and John Holm.
