Ivert Christensen
-O.3.
Born: Ivert Christensen, Moseby, Udby Parish, Tuse District, Holbaek County as Son of Christen Christensen and Maren Larsdatter
Married to Mette Marie Nielsen
When the Hønsehals was in his childhood, Lars Iversens father, old Ivert Christensen, was attendant at the future forest, he was a veteran from the triennial war 1848-50 and was wounded in the battle at Isted.
Ivert Christensen had a big crowd of children of 8 children, who grew up in poor circumstances in competition with the trees on the pretty poor soil, and as the Hønsedal is situated uttermost on the Næsset, a short distance from the nearest villages, the children of the attendant rarely saw other grown-ups than their parents.
When the chamberlain, father of the present owner of the farm and estate Hørbygård og gods, on rare occasions visited his forest, the children would hide between the trees, like in the days of old Adam and Eve, and the same repeated itself, when other strangers came.
